Markets Drop Again For Australian Binary Options Traders
Markets across Asia dropped again for Australian binary options traders. Markets appear to be taking a breather after the impressive bull run that we’ve had. The yen is correcting as well from its bear trend. Japanese exporters are lower on the back of the stronger yen. The yen has strengthened over uncertainty with the confirmation process for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s picks for the BOJ. Opposition parties have said that they have some opposition to the picks. Chinese stocks weakened on speculation that the government is likely to institute new measures to cool an overheating property sector.
ASX 200 Down In Australian Binary Options Trading
The ASX 200 is down today as Australian binary options traders book profits from the recent run-up in prices. The ASX 200 is currently down 25.7 points to 5092.20. Binary options on the big four Australian banks are down as well. National Australia Bank is down 58 cents to $30.96, ANZ down 23.5 cents to $28.815, Commonwealth Bank weaker by 43 cents to $70.15, and Westpac losing 46 cents to $30.70.
The big mining stocks are reversing the trend seen in other Australian binary options markets by rising. Higher commodity prices are helping to boost binary options for the Australian miners. BHP Billiton gained 37 cents to $36.04, Fortescue higher by 7 cents to $4.31, and Rio Tinto rising 53 cents to $62.45.
Yen Strengthens For Australian Binary Options Traders
The Japanese yen is strengthening against most major peers today as Japanese opposition parties have voiced displeasure with 2 of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s picks for the Bank of Japan. Traders are tempering their expectations for accelerated monetary easing. Some analysts had expected monetary stimulus from the BOJ before the April meeting if all 3 picks were quickly confirmed.
Among the major yen pairs, AUD/JPY is at 98.721, GBP/JPY at 143.014, EUR/JPY at 124.839 and the USD/JPY at 95.761.
Drought Weakens The Kiwi In Australian Binary Options Trading
The drought in New Zealand is weakening the kiwi against its major peers on speculation that the drought will hurt the nation’s economy. Most economists are now revising their growth forecasts for the New Zealand economy lower. Consumer confidence in Australia rose last month and traders are now getting more bullish the Aussie dollar versus the kiwi. With the drought in effect, it is highly unlikely that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will raise interest rates. All eyes will be on the RBNZ and their statement after tomorrow’s meeting.
Australian Binary Options Traders See A Boost In Gold Prices
Gold prices are higher on stronger physical demand from Asia and expectations of more monetary stimulus in Europe and Japan. Traders are becoming less concerned about the US Federal Reserve ending its monetary easing because other central banks are likely to pick up where the US central bank leaves off. Monetary stimulus from the US Federal Reserve has been one of the key drivers in gold’s bull run for the past 12 years.
Gold is trading at $1591.90, silver at $29.145, palladium at $770.45, platinum at $1588.70 and copper at $3.5515.
